The Parrish Fire District is an Independent Special District located in northern Manatee County. The district provides fire protection to over 10,000 residents in a fast developing area , with two fire stations, multiple staff members, and career firefighters.  

Parrish is faced with significant growth today and continuing in the near future. We value the community partnerships that have developed and we look forward to growing our community bonds. The Parrish Fire District was created on April 9, 1982, by the Florida Legislature and approved by the  Governor, to provide fire protection, fire prevention, and rescue service for 97 square miles in  unincorporated Manatee County.

The area incorporated in the fire district are:

• Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34,35 and 36 all lying in Township 33 South, Range 19 East;
• and Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, all lying in Township 34 South, Range 19 East; and all of Sections 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18, lying north of Manatee River, all lying in Township 34 South, Range 19 East, and Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34, all lying in Township 33 South;
• Range 20 East, and Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 28, all lying in Township 34 South, Range 20 East;
• and all of Sections 29, 30, 32, and 33, lying North of Manatee River, all lying in Township 34 South, Range 20 East.

The district operates as an Independent Special District under special law 2004-400, and general laws Chapter 189 and 191. The fiscal year for the fire district is October 1-September 30.
